The Blaze Dark Blend is packed fluffily into the Phunnel bowl and then served with a heat management device (HMD) to create a gentle contact with the tobacco. This means that you should not fill the Phunnel bowl too low or too high. The tobacco should not be packed down to allow optimal airflow circulation within the Phunnel bowl and movement through the spaces between the tobacco.

How to smoke Blaze Dark Blend in a Multi-hole bowl / Killer bowl?

In the Multi-hole bowl, the setup is similar to the Phunnel method. The bowl is filled in a way that creates a gentle contact with the HMD. You can determine if you have the right level by placing the HMD on top of the bowl before adding the charcoal. When you remove it, the nubs should have small molasses spots. This indicates that the contact with the nubs has been established. After filling the bowl, you should check if the holes of the Multi-hole bowl are clogged with tobacco, and if necessary, clear them with a hole poker to ensure smooth airflow during your session. Optionally, you can completely uncover the middle hole out of the 5 holes on your Multi-hole bowl for improved draw!
