The Amotion charcoal grid Graffiti is a closed windshield made of powder-coated aluminium with a white street-art print on a black ground. It shields the charcoal against wind at outdoor sessions and at the same time holds it on the bowl.
The base colour is black, the graffiti print is in white and light silver-grey. You can find more windshield models under charcoal grids.
How it works
Outdoors even a light breeze fans the embers: the charcoal gets hotter, the tobacco can burn and sparks fly. The cylinder stands around bowl and charcoal and takes the wind off. If the hookah wobbles, the charcoal falls against the wall instead of onto the floor.
Material and dimensions
The windshield is made of 2 mm thick, powder-coated aluminium. It is 20 cm tall and weighs approx. 330 g. Unlike a perforated grid, the wall is closed; only the top and bottom edges have cut-outs.

Frequently asked questions
Can I touch the grid during the session?
No. The aluminium gets very hot from the charcoal. Do not touch it with bare hands during the session and shortly afterwards; use the charcoal tongs.
Is a closed windshield also worthwhile indoors?
Indoors an open charcoal guard grid is usually enough. The closed cylinder plays out its advantage outdoors on a balcony or terrace.
Do I also need a charcoal guard grid?
No. The windshield stands around the bowl like a charcoal guard grid and catches falling charcoal.
