Charcoal baskets
A charcoal basket is a transport and storage container for hookah charcoal. You carry the glowing cubes from the lighter to the hookah and keep charcoal ready for topping up. The basket stands next to the hookah; on the head sits an HMD, chimney or aluminium foil.

Handle, stand and tray
Choose the size according to the amount of charcoal you want to move. A stable stand and a firm handle are decisive here. Removable trays make emptying easier, and a tongs holder keeps the tool within reach if the model comes with one.
Open metal trays and heavy cast iron containers differ in weight and design. The specific material details and equipment are stated on the product.
Handling hot charcoal
Place the basket on a heat-resistant surface and move the cubes with tongs. The container also gets hot. Before emptying, charcoal and ash must have cooled down completely; also check the handle and stand for damage.
For the heat directly at the head, choose an attachment from chimneys and HMDs instead.
