The ONMO HMD is a heat management device made of aluminium, cast in one piece and without screws. It replaces aluminium foil: the charcoals lie in the attachment and pass their heat from above to the tobacco. It is 7.5 cm in diameter at the bottom, weighs around 70 g and takes two charcoals up to 27 mm. Here the HMD is available in Silver and Black.
Bars and diamond profile
There are bars on the base. With them you can place the charcoals at a distance, in full contact or in bar contact with the tobacco and adapt the HMD to your setup. Inside, a diamond profile provides air under the charcoals, so they go out less often. The wide rim gives the charcoal support when you lay one on the edge.
Aluminium
Aluminium passes heat on quickly, so the HMD heats up fast and also cools down quickly again. That is forgiving for heat management, but the metal is softer than stainless steel. Silver and Black are the same model; only the colour differs.

How to use the ONMO HMD
- Fill tobacco loosely into the bowl until it lightly touches the bottom of the HMD or stays just below it.
- Start with two natural charcoals (26 or 27 mm) and let them glow through on the charcoal lighter. You do not preheat the HMD itself there.
- Put the charcoals in the HMD and place the HMD on the bowl.
- Let it warm up for three to five minutes before you really draw.
- If there is too much heat, remove or move a charcoal; if there is too little smoke, add one.
Care
Let the HMD cool down completely before cleaning it, and never dip it hot into cold water. Brush off dirty spots with an HMD wire brush, but with little pressure: aluminium is soft, and too much pressure can damage the surface.

How many charcoals fit in the ONMO HMD?
Two charcoals up to 27 mm. The raised rim can carry a third charcoal, which you lay on edge.
Do Silver and Black differ?
Only in colour. Design and dimensions are the same.
What is the difference to the stainless steel version?
The aluminium HMD heats and cools faster and is more forgiving. The stainless steel versions store the heat longer and need more attention in heat management.

TOP HMD!
The HMD is really top! Fits perfectly on all the bowls I have and distributes the heat nicely evenly! At that price I'm thrilled! I only use the Onmo now :)

Real competition for the Kaloud
Compared to the Kaloud, the Onmo HMD is the clear winner in value for money. Perfect heat distribution at an affordable price.

My favourite HMD
The ONMO has really won me over, super easy to clean since it's made of one piece and nothing is screwed together.
The charcoal doesn't go out, and it simply fits every bowl like a glove.
And the value for money is simply unbeatable.

The "Kaloud killer"
My first two aluminium HMDs were two Kalouds and I was, or rather still am, absolutely happy with both. However, the Kaloud costs a fair chunk of money and there used to be no alternative.
But now there's the ONMO! At least just as good a performance for half the money!
For me, as a fan of aluminium HMDs, the ONMO was an absolute stroke of luck.
Unless I exceptionally use a stainless steel HMD, the ONMO runs on almost every one of my setups and wins me over again every time.

Personally I find the Onmo HMD great, it's got nothing to envy the Kaloud. Distributes the heat brilliantly and smokes really well. And price-wise really great

Good HMD attachment
Does what it's supposed to and transfers heat well into the tobacco.
Unfortunately as much of a pain to clean as all aluminium HMDs and it quickly stops looking as sharp as when it arrives new. But the value for money is clear in return
