Hookain Tradi Phunnel hand-turned
The Hookain Tradi is for you if, with a head, you care not only about the design but also about how it is made. Every Tradi is made by hand in Spain. That is why no head is exactly like another.

Tradi: a handmade phunnel for your setup
The range includes the Chess Tradi Phunnel and the Pascha Phunnel Gitano. What they share is the phunnel design with a hole in the middle. This shape keeps the molasses in the head instead of letting it run into the stem.
Hookain tip: Spread the tobacco loosely around the centre hole, leave the hole itself free and pack to just below the rim.
Chess and Pascha compared
The Chess Tradi Phunnel is made of earthenware in beige, sturdy, heat resistant and easy to clean. The Pascha Phunnel Gitano combines white stoneware clay with red refractory clay and is fired at 1250 °C. Its reservoir is glazed on the inside so that no molasses seeps into the material, and it holds approx. 8 to 13 g.
The Tradi at a glance
Whether you work with foil or an HMD, what counts is a cleanly set distance and a calm start with the heat.

Who the Tradi suits especially well
The range suits you if you want a Hookain phunnel that is classically built and at the same time clearly looks like handwork. The Pascha Gitano is designed for dark blend and Virginia dry base and takes common HMDs.
Practical tip: It is better to start with a little less heat and let the head get going quietly. Then add coals step by step.
