The shii Battery L is the large battery for the shii. It has the same design as the Battery S included with the shii, but at 76.59 Wh it stores about 50% more energy. That is enough for up to 180 minutes in one go.
Main battery or spare
You can leave the Battery L in the shii permanently and charge the Battery S as a spare, or the other way round. With both together you get up to five hours without a power outlet. During a swap, the shii keeps its settings for three minutes; the session continues. You can recognise the large battery by the L on the back.
Charging and charge level
There is no difference from the Battery S when charging and inserting: via USB-C with Power Delivery, with inputs from 5 V/3 A to 20 V/3.25 A. The charge level button shows the level in quarter steps. When delivered new, the battery is locked for transport; connect a charger for about 5 seconds and it is unlocked.
Travelling
Despite the higher capacity, the Battery L stays below 100 Wh at 76.59 Wh. That is below the limit airlines usually apply to batteries in hand luggage. Still, clarify your airline's rules before departure.
Colour and sets
The Battery L is available in colours matching the shii; technically all colours are identical. Together with the device it is part of the shii Hot-Swap Set, and with two spare pods in the shii Session Pack.
Storage, safety, disposal
Store the Battery L between +10 and +25 °C, and at about 50% charge for longer breaks. If it swells, leaks, becomes unusually hot or deformed, stop using it. Dispose of it separately from household waste at a collection point.
