The shii Battery S is the same battery that comes in the box of every shii. As a second battery you keep a charged Battery S ready: when the first one runs low, you put it on and keep smoking.
Swapping without losing the session
The battery is held magnetically on the back of the shii. After pulling it off you have a buffer of three minutes in which the device keeps its temperature and mode; the shii warns you in good time before the battery is empty. A full Battery S lasts up to 120 minutes.
Charging via USB-C Power Delivery
It is charged via the USB-C port on the battery itself or in the shii on the cable. With a 65 W power supply with Power Delivery, the Battery S is full in about 100 minutes; it accepts 5 V/3 A, 9 V/3 A, 12 V/3 A, 15 V/3 A and 20 V/3.25 A. If you press the charge level button, four levels show the charge: 0–25, 26–50, 51–75 and 76–100 percent.
Unlock before first use
For shipping, the Battery S is locked by software. Connect it to a charger for about 5 seconds, and the lock is released and the battery is ready.
Colour freely combinable
The colour variants are visually matched to the shii but technically identical. Every Battery S fits every shii, regardless of the colour of the device.
Travelling and storing
At 51.06 Wh, the Battery S stays below 100 Wh, the value that airlines give as the limit for batteries in hand luggage; if in doubt, ask your airline beforehand. You should store it at +10 to +25 °C, for longer breaks with about half charge.
Battery and safety
If the Battery S shows swelling, something leaks out, it becomes noticeably hot or it deforms, take it out of operation. As a lithium-ion polymer battery, it belongs at the end of its life in the separate collection for used batteries, not in household waste.
