The AO stem adapter Clear connects an 18/8 joint on the hookah with a stem tube that has a 29/2 joint. This lets you use a stem tube with a larger joint on a matching 18/8 port.
From 18/8 to 29/2
The lower joint of the adapter is size 18/8, the upper one 29/2. Insert the adapter into the matching joint on the stem adapter or the body and push the stem tube into the upper connection. What matters are the joint sizes of your parts: the adapter is meant for this combination and does not fit every hookah across the board. Protect the joints
We recommend matching joint protectors for both connections. They help the parts come apart again after the session. If stem tube and adapter are stuck, loosen them carefully with a slight twist. Do not lever at the connection and avoid sideways pressure.
