The ShishaWorld foil poker is a compact poker around 9 cm long. The handle carries a pattern: Fleur or Honeycomb. Fleur is available in gold and gun metal, Honeycomb in gold.
Short and handy
At around 9 cm the poker is short and weighs about 20 g. Design and dimensions are the same for all patterns; only pattern and colour tone differ.
Piercing the foil for the bowl
With the poker you pierce holes into the foil over the bowl. Through the holes, the heat of the charcoal reaches the tobacco and the smoke is drawn off. In the scene the tool is also simply called a poker.
How to pierce the foil
- Fill the tobacco loosely into the bowl and do not press it down. Leave a little air between tobacco and foil.
- Pull the foil tight over the rim of the bowl. Heavy-duty foil is enough in a single layer; household foil you lay two or three times.
- Pierce the holes. You decide on the number and arrangement yourself; a circle of many small holes is common. With a phunnel, the centre usually stays free.
- Blow gently into the bowl from below. If the air passes through well, you can place the charcoal and heat up.

How big should the holes be?
As a rule of thumb, about the size of the tip of a toothpick. If they are much smaller, the bowl quickly gets too hot.
Do I need the poker with an HMD?
No. With an HMD the charcoal sits in the device instead of on the foil. You only need the poker for a setup with foil.
