Description

The Shroom V2 Low Capacity from Hookain is a Phunnel bowl made of stoneware with a small reservoir, handmade in Spain. It holds around 10 g of Virginia tobacco or 12 g of dark leaf, 8 to 12 g depending on how you pack it.

Small reservoir for little tobacco

The V2 is the economical version of the Shroom. With around 10 g of Virginia or 12 g of dark leaf, you get through the session with less tobacco than with the first Shroom, which holds around 12 g or 14 g.

Phunnel: one hole in the middle, tobacco in a ring

In the middle sits a raised chimney with a single hole, and the tobacco lies in the reservoir all around it. This way no molasses runs into the smoke column, and the heat reaches the tobacco evenly from above.

Black and white clay, handmade in Spain

Every Shroom V2 is handmade in Spain from stoneware. Depending on the model, black or white clay is used, and both together for the Mix Clay models. Because no bowl comes out of a mould, each piece turns out slightly different.

Chimney attachment, HMD or aluminium foil

The rim has the standard size for chimney attachments. According to Hookain, however, not every HMD sits as securely on the V2 as on the first Shroom. A classic chimney attachment or aluminium foil always fits; for HMDs, Hookain recommends stainless steel.

How to pack the Shroom V2

  1. Briefly mix the tobacco in the tin so that the molasses is evenly distributed.
  2. Sprinkle the tobacco loosely into the reservoir around the chimney and do not press it down. The middle hole stays free.
  3. Fill up to just below the rim. With a chimney attachment or HMD, a small gap to the tobacco remains; with aluminium foil, you stretch the foil tightly over the rim and poke the holes only above the tobacco.
  4. Place the charcoal on top, let it get going for a few minutes and regulate the heat with the airflow control or the amount of charcoal.

Frequently asked questions

How much tobacco fits in the Shroom V2?

Around 10 g of Virginia tobacco or 12 g of dark leaf, 8 to 12 g depending on how you pack it. How much it turns out to be exactly depends on the cut, the moisture and how loosely you pack.

Does my HMD fit on the Shroom V2?

Many HMDs sit on it, but not every one as securely as on the first Shroom. Try your HMD on once before getting it going. If it wobbles, use a chimney attachment or aluminium foil.

What is the difference from the first Shroom?

The first Shroom has a larger reservoir for around 12 g of Virginia or 14 g of dark leaf and sits on common HMDs. The V2 holds less.

Do the models differ?

In clay and colour. The shape is the same on all models, but because of the handwork every bowl looks slightly different.

How do I clean the bowl?

Only once the bowl on the hookah has cooled down completely do you rinse it out with lukewarm water. Hot ceramic cannot cope with a cold shock and may otherwise crack.
