The AO valve ball Polyamide 12 mm is a replacement ball for the blow-off valve of your hookah. The pack contains 5 pieces, each 12 mm in diameter, made of polyamide.
What the ball does in the blow-off valve
The ball sits on the valve seat in the blow-off valve. When you draw on the hose, the vacuum pulls it onto the rim and the valve closes. When you blow into the hose, it lifts and stale smoke can escape from the base.
Material: Polyamide
Polyamide is very light and can be cleaned under running water. A polyamide ball is lighter than a stainless steel ball.
The right size
The size you need depends on the valve seat of your hookah. Measure the old ball with a ruler at its widest point, or the opening if there is no ball left. A ball that is too small slips through the valve seat. This ball is 12 mm.
Rinsing and changing the ball
Rinse the ball whenever you take the hookah apart. A film on the ball can keep it off the rim, and then the valve does not close properly. The ball must stay free to move in its seat. After rinsing and drying, you can put it back in.
How to change the ball
- Take the hookah apart and expose the blow-off valve.
- Remove the old ball and measure it.
- Insert the new ball with the matching diameter into the valve seat.
- Check that the ball moves freely in its seat.
