The Laziza Prong Fork Double Faces is a bowl-packing tool made of solid metal with a tobacco fork at one end and a piercer at the other. It is about 14 cm long and available in gold and copper.
Fork and piercer in one tool
With the fork side you loosen the tobacco in the bowl, mix it lightly and spread it without touching it with your fingers. The other side is the piercer: you use it to poke the holes in the foil. Because both sit in one piece, you do not need a second tool.
Solid construction, 14 cm long
The tool is made of metal and solidly built. With an overall length of about 14 cm it sits well in the hand. The two versions, gold and copper, differ in colour; shape and function are the same.
For bowls with foil
You use the prong fork with phunnel, clay and stone bowls that are smoked with foil. Fill the tobacco loosely and do not press it down, so that the draw stays even. With a phunnel you leave the centre of the foil unpierced and only pierce above the tobacco.
How to use the prong fork
- Loosen the tobacco with the fork side and spread it evenly in the bowl.
- Pull the foil tight over the rim.
- Use the piercer side to poke holes evenly into the foil. Holes that are too small make the bowl very hot.
- Place the charcoal, start smoking and control the heat via the number and position of the coals.
Care
Wipe off tobacco residue after the session before it dries on. A free fork and a clean piercer tip make the next bowl easier to pack.
