The Huka Stack Phönix attachment is a chimney attachment made of heat-resistant metal that replaces aluminium foil. The coal sits on the finely perforated screen, and the attachment sits on the bowl. It is available in silver and gold.
Chimney instead of foil
You do not have to stretch foil or pierce holes. The holes in the screen are always the same; the coal sits on the screen at a distance from the tobacco and does not slip. Because it does not sit directly on the tobacco, a chimney is more forgiving than foil. In return it needs a little more heat, so usually more coals.
Fit on the bowl
The attachment goes on the bowl; clay or stone bowls are typical. It must sit flat and must not wobble. If it is too small for the rim or sits crooked, a gap forms and the heat reaches the tobacco unevenly.
How to use the attachment
- Fill the bowl loosely and do not press the tobacco down.
- Put the attachment with screen flat on the bowl.
- Place three to four lit coals in the middle of the screen and take your time starting the session.
- If it gets too hot or the smoke too strong, push the coals outwards or take one away.
- During long sessions, add more coal.
Care and cleaning
Let the attachment cool down completely. Then remove ash, coal dust and tobacco residue from the screen.

Do I still need aluminium foil?
No. The screen replaces the foil.
How many coals do I need?
Start with three to four. How many it ends up being depends on the bowl, the tobacco and the wind. You can control the heat via the position of the coals.
Why is the smoke poor?
Usually there is not enough heat or the tobacco is packed too tightly. Add a coal and pack the bowl more loosely.
Do the models differ?
Only in colour.
