Classic multi-hole heads for your setup
Cadiz and Pascha are made by hand in a small workshop in Seville, and the Classic clay head is also handmade. Small variations in shape and size are therefore part of the deal.
Hookain tip: Clean packing pays off especially with multi-hole heads. Keep the holes free and spread the tobacco evenly so the airflow stays open.
Which heads you will find here
Here you will find the Hookain multi-hole heads Cadiz and Pascha, each with five holes in the bottom, plus the Classic clay head as a 5-hole head made of natural, unglazed clay.
With Cadiz the versions differ in more than colour: the Gitano version combines White Stoneware Clay with Red Refractory Clay and has an internally glazed reservoir. The Pascha Gitano is available with the same clay blend and glaze.
| Head | Material | Reservoir |
|---|---|---|
| Hookain Cadiz 5 Hole | Stoneware clay, Gitano with two clays and a glazed reservoir | approx. 9-15 g, Gitano approx. 9-13 g |
| Hookain Pascha 5 Hole | White Stoneware and Red Refractory Clay, fired at 1250 °C, reservoir glazed inside | approx. 10-15 g |
| Classic clay head | natural, unglazed clay | approx. 5 cm diameter, approx. 2.2 cm deep |
How to get the most from multi-hole
With a multi-hole head a clean setup pays off. Spread the tobacco loosely and evenly without closing off the air paths. With 5-hole heads in particular it matters a lot whether the holes stay free or are pressed shut by accident while packing.
Cadiz and Pascha take common HMDs. You can smoke the Classic clay head with aluminium foil, a chimney attachment or a coal box.
A controlled start is worthwhile with the heat too. Dial in your setup step by step instead of giving too much heat straight away. That makes the head more predictable to light and you notice sooner whether your packing style and spacing suit you.
Molasses and care
With a multi-hole head a little molasses can run through the holes into the stem. With Cadiz Gitano and Pascha, the glaze in the reservoir protects the material from seeping molasses and makes cleaning easier.
Practical tip: If a multi-hole head draws unusually heavily, check your reservoir first. Blocked holes or tobacco packed too densely are often the reason, not the head itself.
Who Tradi is the right choice for
Tradi suits you if you prefer classic multi-hole heads and are specifically looking for 5-hole models. Hookain Cadiz and Pascha cover this direction in several versions, while the Classic clay head offers the simple basis for a traditional setup.
