Hookain Low Lip Phunnel with flat depot
The Hookain Low Lip is a phunnel for anyone who wants to pack deliberately with less tobacco. It combines the shape of the Lit Lip with the low reservoir you know from the Low Load. Depending on how you pack, about 6 to 8 g goes in, and up to 12 g depending on tobacco and packing.

Low Lip for economical phunnel setups
Thanks to the phunnel design, molasses stays in the reservoir instead of running into the stem. The head is made of glazed stoneware clay, many designs of black stoneware clay.
Hookain tip: Packed with light contact to the HMD, the reservoir holds about 8 g; with a gap, around 6 g is enough. So how much you fill in is decided by how you pack.
What the low reservoir gives you
The low, cylindrical reservoir is designed for small fill amounts. That way you pack a complete head with little tobacco.
Saving tobacco with an HMD or foil
The Low Lip is compatible with common HMDs, for example Kaloud, ONMO or stainless steel attachments. Aluminium foil is just as usual on a phunnel. What matters most is that you spread the fill loosely and give the tobacco some air. That keeps the draw free.

How to pack the Low Lip sensibly
Loosen the tobacco well before packing and spread it evenly in the reservoir. No stuffing, no pressing. On the Low Lip a loose pack usually works best. Leave some distance to the underside of the HMD so the head does not start too aggressively.
If you pack with foil, the same principle applies: better clean and even than too high and too dense. Also make sure the centre hole stays free and no tobacco fibres fall into it.
Practical tip: If your tobacco reacts sensitively to heat, leave a little more distance to the HMD or foil.
Who the Low Lip is worth it for
The Low Lip is the right choice if you want a Hookain phunnel with a low reservoir. It is especially suitable if you do not want to use unnecessarily much tobacco and prefer to pack in a controlled, clean and even way.
