Micro Lip Phunnel
The Micro Lip belongs to the Hookain Phunnel Series and holds 6 to 9 g of tobacco in the reservoir. Every head is thrown by hand on the potter's wheel and not pressed or cast in a mould. That makes every piece one of a kind.

Micro Lip as a hand-thrown phunnel
As a phunnel, the Micro Lip has a raised centre hole so the molasses stays in the reservoir instead of running into the stem. It is meant for heavy-duty foil; a smaller HMD or a screen attachment can be used as well.
Hookain tip: Spread the tobacco loosely around the centre hole and leave the hole itself free. That keeps the draw open and lets you judge heat and smoke better.
What really matters with the Micro Lip

- Design: phunnel with raised centre hole, the molasses stays in the head
- Material: German stoneware clay from the Eifel, recognisable by small red dots
- Production: thrown by hand on the potter's wheel in the Hookain workshop in Spain, fired twice

Getting more out of the head in your setup
The Micro Lip is made for packing with heavy-duty foil. As with any phunnel: pack cleanly, do not overdo the heat straight away and feel your way into your setup. Spread the tobacco loosely and evenly around the centre hole and leave some distance to the foil, so the air can draw cleanly and the head does not become needlessly tight.
If you switch between different tobaccos, take a conscious look at moisture, cut and the heat you want. Not every tobacco reacts the same. So start in a controlled way and work step by step towards the range where flavour and heat management suit you.
Who the Micro Lip suits
The Micro Lip suits you if you want a hand-thrown phunnel with a small reservoir for heavy-duty foil and value the classic phunnel design.
