The Argile Tradi No. 1 is a traditional hookah made of solid brass. It is 74 cm high, has a plug-in seal and comes with a glass base, clay bowl and goatskin hose. The Tradi No. 1 is available in five base colours: Dark Blue, Transparent, White, Black and Arua Blue.
Traditional design without blow-off valve
The Tradi No. 1 follows the classic model. There is no blow-off valve; you control the smoke through your draw alone. You plug the brass stem into the neck of the glass base. The plug-in seal connects both without screwing and tightly.
Material and workmanship
Stem and bottom part are made of brass, the base of glass. Brass is robust. Untreated brass changes its surface over time and develops a patina, which is normal. The glass base shows you the water level.
Clay bowl, screen and phoenix attachment
The clay bowl stores heat and releases it evenly to the tobacco. Screen and phoenix attachment help distribute the heat evenly. Clay bowls are porous. Let the bowl cool down completely after the session before you clean it, because a cold shock can damage it.
Goatskin hose
The hose is made of goatskin, as is usual for traditional hookahs. It is soft in the hand and keeps its shape. Leather hoses are not washable, so you do not rinse it through.
How to set up the Tradi No. 1
- Fill water into the glass base until the downstem stands about 2 cm in the water.
- Plug the brass stem with downstem into the base and make sure it sits firmly.
- Attach the goatskin hose to the hose connection.
- Put tobacco in the clay bowl, place the screen and phoenix attachment and set the bowl on.
- Put the charcoal on and start calmly.
Care and cleaning
Rinse stem and downstem through with lukewarm water after the session, with a soft brush if needed, and let everything dry. Rinse the base with warm, not hot, water. Use brass polish only on outer surfaces.
