The Blyat #1 is a stoneware Phunnel with a ribbed base in cream and brown. Handmade in Spain, for HMDs with a standard fit.
Ribbed base and marbled surface
On model #1, clearly visible ribs sit on the base beneath the round reservoir. The light surface in cream is broken up by brown areas. Bowl and base are one piece of ceramic; the bowl is handmade in Spain.
A raised centre hole instead of holes in the base
Phunnel means single-hole bowl: the air hole sits on a raised section in the middle, and the reservoir lies around it as a ring. This way molasses collects in the reservoir instead of running straight out through holes in the base. The centre hole stays clear when you fill the bowl, so the airflow is not blocked.
Fit and reservoir of the #1
The Blyat #1 has a standard HMD fit. An HMD is an attachment you use to control the heat of the charcoal. Before heating up, check that it rests on the rim and does not close off the central opening. As a guide for the reservoir, about 11 g of Virginia or 15 g of dark leaf apply; cut and packing method change the actual fill capacity.

Frequently asked questions
Why does the draw get hard after filling?
Check whether something has fallen into the central opening or is lying over it. An attachment that covers the centre hole can also clog the airway. Take off the cold attachment and clear the channel.
How do I clean the ribbed base?
Let the ceramic cool down completely. Rinse the bowl with lukewarm water and remove deposits in the ribs with a soft brush.
