The Lit Lip Stoneware Cool Water 2.0 is a Phunnel bowl made of stoneware, made in a small workshop in Sevilla. At the top the glaze runs in blue, turquoise and light blue with streaks of green and white, below it the clay stays visible in beige, grey and brown. Hookain calls this natural tone Stone. Depending on how it is packed, 12 to 16 g of tobacco fit into the reservoir.
Stoneware fired at over 1200 degrees
Every stoneware bowl is fired in two firings at over 1200 degrees, around 48 hours in total. The clay becomes very dense in the process. The bowl is heavy, stores the heat for a long time and releases it evenly to the tobacco. The kilns for this temperature are small, so only a few bowls are produced per firing.
Roughened lip for every HMD
The upper lip of the reservoir is roughened in a separate work step. Attachments from Kaloud Lotus, ONMO, NaGrani or Alpha therefore sit firmly and seal lip to lip. You can find matching attachments under HMDs and chimney attachments, more glazes under Lit Lip Stoneware.
How to pack the bowl
- Briefly mix the tobacco in the tin so that the molasses is evenly distributed.
- Scatter the tobacco loosely into the reservoir around the chimney and do not press it down. The centre hole stays free.
- Only fill to just below the lip so that the HMD does not touch the tobacco.
- Put the HMD on, start smoking with two to three charcoals for a few minutes and regulate the heat via the vents.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference from the normal Lit Lip Cool Water?
The normal Lit Lip is made of clay and is fired at a lower temperature. The stoneware bowl is denser, heavier and holds the heat longer.
How much tobacco fits in?
12 to 16 g, depending on the tobacco and how it is packed.
How do I clean the bowl?
Let the bowl cool down completely and then rinse it out with lukewarm water. Hot ceramic cannot take a cold shock, otherwise the glaze can crack.

Cool Water, - simply timelessly beautiful.
The LitLip 1.0 was already good, but in Stonewareclay it squeezes out a few more percent.

Mega bowl
The Lit Lip was my first Hookain bowl out of now five, the quality is, as typical for Hookain, outstanding and the Lit Lip is for me a must-have for every hookah smoker since it's great for smoking long sessions alone or relaxed with two people. I have the Colorway "Zauron" and find it especially beautiful because of the dripping glaze effect.

If you liked the old LIT LIP, you'll love this one!
The old LIT LIP was already one of my favourites. But the new LIT LIP Stone Ware is in a whole different league. Not only was the bowl depot optimised and made noticeably more efficient, but the new Clay also takes the performance to a new level. Like I said, if you liked the old LIT LIP, you'll love this one!
