AO Hookah · AO - Phunnel Plug with Poker
€3.90*
The AO Phunnel Plug with Poker is a 2-in-1 set for packing bowls: the plug keeps the middle hole free while filling, and with the poker you pierce the holes in the foil. The set is black and made of aluminium and plastic.
You will find more tools for packing bowls under bowl packing accessories.
Phunnel plug: tobacco stays out of the middle hole
On a Phunnel bowl there is a chimney with a hole in the middle, and the tobacco lies around it in the reservoir. If you insert the plug into the middle hole beforehand, no tobacco falls in while filling and you do not have to pick leftovers out of the hole. It is intended for common Phunnel bowls.
Poker: pierce the foil
With the poker you pierce holes in the foil over the bowl. You decide the number and arrangement yourself; a circle of many small holes is common. With a Phunnel the middle of the foil usually stays free.
How to pack the bowl
- Insert the plug into the middle hole of the Phunnel.
- Fill tobacco loosely into the reservoir around the plug and do not press it down. Leave some air to the foil.
- Pull out the plug so the middle hole is free.
- Pull the foil tight over the bowl rim. Armor foil is enough as a single layer, household foil you fold two to three times.
- Pierce the holes with the poker, then place the coals and start smoking.

Frequently asked questions
Does the plug fit every Phunnel?
It is intended for common Phunnel bowls. Because the middle hole turns out slightly different depending on the bowl, if in doubt briefly test-fit it before filling.
Do I need the poker with an HMD?
No. An HMD sits on the bowl instead of foil. You only need the poker for packing with foil.
