C26 cubes made from coconut shell
Each cube measures 26 × 26 × 26 mm, and the 1 kg box holds 64 pieces. Natural charcoal is pressed charcoal without an ignition aid: it does not catch fire with a lighter but needs a charcoal starter. In return it adds no flavour of its own to the bowl and leaves little ash. The charcoal comes from Indonesia.

How Cocozilla gets onto the bowl
Place the cubes on an electric charcoal starter or a gas burner and let them glow through on all sides. This usually takes up to 10 minutes; an even, light layer of ash shows you the charcoal is ready. Turn the cubes once so they glow from every side.
For a normal bowl, meaning the earthenware head on top of the hookah, two to three cubes are enough. With an HMD (an attachment that holds the charcoal above the bowl and spreads the heat) or a smokebox, you start with two cubes and add the third once the bowl is warm.
