The Jookah Mr. Fatman is a gas charcoal lighter for natural charcoal that works without a power outlet. You insert a 190 g pierce cartridge, adjust the flame at the control valve and get the charcoal glowing on the metal attachment – on the balcony, in the garden or on the go.
How it works
The gas cartridge sits at the bottom of the housing with the burner above it. The side control valve lets you set the flame size continuously. According to the packaging, the burner delivers 0.8 kW, and consumption is stated as 13 to 85 g per hour.
Lighting the charcoal
The large metal attachment has a diameter of about 12.5 cm and, according to the manufacturer, holds up to ten cubes of 26 mm. The overall height is about 25 cm. Turn the cubes now and then with the charcoal tongs so that they ignite from all sides.
- Insert the cartridge as described in the instructions and place the device upright.
- Put the attachment on, spread the charcoal and light the burner.
- Adjust the flame at the control valve and turn the charcoal regularly.
- Use the tongs to place fully glowing charcoal in the charcoal basket or on the bowl, then close the valve.
Only light charcoal outdoors or in well-ventilated rooms.
