The AO Woody is a stainless steel charcoal tongs with a bamboo wood grip shell and a hooked-in piercing pin, around 22 cm long. Serrated tips grip the charcoal, and the pin is there for the aluminium foil.
Bamboo grip and serrated tips
A bamboo wood grip shell sits on one arm, fixed with two rivets. The second arm is bare stainless steel with an embossed texture. At the front both arms end in broad, serrated tips that grip the cube from two sides. This is how you lift the charcoal out of the charcoal burner and place it on the head.
Piercing pin on the spring end
A thin pin is hooked onto the rear spring bracket. You use it to poke holes in the aluminium foil or to nudge the charcoal into place on the head. Gripping charcoal and piercing foil are handled with a single tool.
