Baba Bowl Phunnel for large setups

Baba Bowl as an XXL phunnel
As a phunnel it keeps the molasses in the reservoir so it does not run into the stem.
Hookain tip: You should not rush the start of such a large phunnel. Let the heat reach across the reservoir cleanly first, instead of starting straight away at too high a temperature.

Getting more out of the head
With the Baba Bowl a clean pack pays off more than an aggressive start. Spread the tobacco evenly around the centre hole, leave the hole itself free and poke the aluminium foil so that the heat reaches across the whole reservoir. With large heads in particular, a calm build is usually more sensible than too much charcoal at once. Always light natural charcoal with a suitable charcoal burner, not with a lighter.
With aluminium foil you can control the heat step by step and readjust more easily if needed. When several people smoke along, exactly this control is often more pleasant than a setup that gets too hot too quickly.
Hookain tip: When you pack a head this big, plan not only for more tobacco but also for more time to pack it.
Who the Baba Bowl makes sense for
The Baba Bowl suits you if you are specifically looking for a large Hookain phunnel and do not mind putting more material and a bit more patience into packing. It makes most sense when several people smoke along or when you prefer to approach long sessions with a large, classic head.
If instead you mostly smoke alone and in rather short rounds, the Baba Bowl quickly feels oversized. Then a smaller model within the Hookain Phunnel Series is the better fit.
