Drip Bowl Phunnel series by Hookain
The Drip Bowl Phunnel is the phunnel version of the Hookain Drip Bowl. It is made by hand in Spain from a blend of two different clays and holds 20 to 22 g of tobacco. The versions differ in colour and design, for example Cool Water or Tropical.
Colour: White, Turquoise, Light blue, Blue
Drip Bowl as a phunnel
The blend of the two clays is meant to pass the heat on to the tobacco well. The design is simple: the raised hole sits in the middle, and the reservoir lies around it.
Hookain tip: Spread the tobacco loosely around the centre hole and leave the hole itself free. Pack to just below the rim and do not press the tobacco down firmly.
What the phunnel design does
Thanks to the raised centre hole, the molasses stays in the reservoir and does not run into the stem. That keeps the hookah cleaner.

How to pack the Drip Bowl
Fluff up the tobacco and spread it with a fork around the centre hole, up to just below the rim. If the hole stays free, the draw stays open too. Put foil or an HMD on top. Give the head a few minutes to get going and only add more coals once the smoke gets thinner.
Practical tip: Always light natural charcoal through completely with a suitable heat source. A lighter is not suitable for this.
