Matching cube size and attachment
The format is stated on the specific item. A larger cube needs more room and brings more charcoal mass. In a compact HMD, besides the heat, it also matters whether the cubes have room side by side.
Chimney and aluminium foil leave more freedom in positioning. You compensate for a change in size through the amount of charcoal and the spacing, instead of adopting the same loading without checking.
Preparing natural charcoal
Aladin Coco has no self-lighting coating. Use a charcoal lighter, turn the cubes with tongs and let all sides glow through. Moisture makes lighting harder; keep your supply in a dry place.
