The Petit Popo BBL Mini is a Phunnel bowl made of stoneware, handmade in Spain, in brown with black. The chimney stands in the middle, and the tobacco reservoir lies all around it. As a guide, around 11 to 13 g of Virginia tobacco fit in. Your HMD goes on top, and the bowl sits on the smoke column with a silicone bowl grommet.
How the Phunnel works
With the Phunnel, the hole is not in the bottom of the bowl but at the top of the chimney in the middle. This way the molasses stays in the bowl and does not run into the smoke column. You spread the tobacco in a ring around the chimney, and the opening stays free so that the draw is right. The heat comes from above via the HMD. The large Popo Phunnel is also built on the same principle, and you can find the other small models under Petit Popo.
Filling quantity and packing method
For the BBL Mini, the guide is about 11 to 13 g of Virginia tobacco. We do not have a separate guide figure for dark leaf for this model. Exactly how much fits for you depends on the cut, the moisture and the packing method. Fill the tobacco in loosely and do not press it down. How close the tobacco may come to the HMD and how many charcoals you need depends on your HMD and your tobacco. Feel your way in when getting it going and add a charcoal if needed.
Look and ceramic
The BBL Mini is brown with black. Because every bowl is handmade, shape and shade turn out slightly different on each piece than in the photo. After the session, you let the bowl cool down completely before you rinse it out.

Loosen the tobacco, spread it in a ring around the chimney and leave the opening free. Do not press it down, so that enough air gets through the tobacco.

Because every bowl is handmade individually. Shape and colour turn out slightly different on each piece.
What does bleeding mean on a ceramic bowl?
Over time, molasses can soak into the ceramic and become visible on the outside as a dark patch. The constant heating and cooling can also cause fine stress lines. Neither can be prevented entirely with ceramic, and it is not grounds for a complaint.
