The Twister is one of the tall bowls in the Hookain range: a wide funnel on top, a neck with spirally twisted bulges below and a slim stem on a sturdy foot. The large depot lasts through long evenings with friends.

Beneath the flared funnel the neck winds downwards in several bulges, hence the name. Inside, a single chimney rises from the red-glazed depot with the tobacco lying around it. Molasses stays down in the ring instead of running into the smoke column.

The funnel ends in a rounded, glazed lip. Its diameter matches the common standard, so heat managers for regular bowls sit without a gap. If you prefer foil, the rounded rim holds it taut as well.

Hookain blends two kinds of clay for its phunnels. Heat travels evenly into the tobacco and the bowl forgives one coal too many at the start. Shaping and firing take place in Spain.
Care
Cool first, then rinse
Once the Twister is cold again, rinse it lukewarm and go over it with a soft brush. Residue shows sooner on the pale White, so rinse it regularly to keep it bright.

Is the Twister Black glazed black?
No. On Black the dark clay largely stays visible on the outside, streaked with pale veins and red glaze runs. Lip and depot are glazed red, just like on the White.
Which heat managers fit the Twister?
Any heat manager or chimney cap sized for regular bowls sits on it. Classic aluminium foil works as well.
Why does a ceramic bowl bleed?
Fired clay keeps fine pores. When the bowl heats up, molasses soaks in and seeps back out as it cools. This lessens with every session; fine hairlines in the glaze do not affect function.

starker phunnel
bin rundum glücklich damit. ich teile meine erfahrung, weil mir andere bewertungen auch geholfen haben. mein hmd sitzt ohne wackeln oben drauf. durch den erhöhten mittelkanal ist die säue auch nach drei wochen noch komplett sauber.

Wie gewohnt solide
Auf Hookain ist bei Köpfen Verlass, das bestätigt sich hier. Die Glasur glänzt und sieht auch nach etwa zwanzig Sessions noch gepflegt aus. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Schickes Teil
Warten muss man bei ihm kaum, der Tabak entfaltet sich schnell! Als ich ihn mit meiner Freundin zum ersten Mal benutzt habe, kamen sofort Fragen, wo er her ist. Das hole ich mir jederzeit wieder.

Mehr als zufrieden, ehrlich. Der Rand ist sauber abgeschlossen, das erleichtert das Glattstreichen. Vom Fassungsvermögen her genau mein Maß. Tabakreste lösen sich leicht, man muss kaum schrubben. Am Freitag abgeschickt, am Tag danach ausgepackt.

Sitzt fest
Beste Anschaffung seit Langem. Kein Kippeln, auch wenn man mal gegen den Schlauch kommt. Keine Molasse im Schlauch mehr, seit ich ihn benutze. Ich hatte mit meinem Kumpel einen langen Abend, und die Hitze blieb konstant. Preis und Leistung passen hier.
