Babuschka HMD in stainless steel
An HMD (heat management device) is an attachment that holds the coals above the bowl. Instead of perforated foil, the coals sit in the HMD and the heat reaches the bowl evenly from above. The Babuschka HMD is made of stainless steel and has a standard fit.
It comes in silver, black and rose gold as well as further shades such as grey and pink. The colour only affects the surface; the function is the same for all of them.
Babuschka in rose gold
The HMD sits directly on the rim of the bowl and holds the pieces of charcoal in its dish.

No. The HMD replaces the foil, and the coals sit directly in the attachment.
Will the HMD fit my bowl?
It fits bowls with a common rim, as it has a standard fit.
How do I clean the HMD?
Let it cool, tap out the ash and rinse the stainless steel with warm water.
