The alite Swiss Squad is a complete hookah from the brand alite made of stainless steel and glass. It is about 55 cm high, has four hose ports and a glass base with an outer diameter of 20 cm. Black/Gold and Silver are available.
On the Black/Gold, the stem is black with golden rings, and the glass base stays clear. You can find the silver version under alite Swiss.
Design and stem
The Swiss Squad has four hose ports and is therefore built for the group: several smokers draw at the same time. You attach the hoses via a plug-in system. The stem has an inner diameter of 13 mm, the downstem 11 mm. A molasses catcher is integrated. Bowl, molasses catcher and charcoal tray sit on a joint and can be removed together.
The charcoal tray measures 18 cm in diameter.
Draw, diffuser and blow-off
The downstem is fitted with a diffuser that dampens the bubbling. Via the blow-off system in the base plate, you purge the smoke from the glass base before changing the bowl or ending the session.
Base and fitting
The glass base has an outer diameter of 20 cm and is 26 cm high. It is connected to the stem via a screw thread. Small air inclusions can occur in the handmade glass; this is due to the manufacturing process.
Material and finish
The stem of the Swiss Squad is made of V2A stainless steel, the base of glass with a stainless steel screw thread. Parts of the alite range are interchangeable; stem, base plate and glass base are also available individually as spares.
Bowl and HMD
The hookah takes standard-size HMDs. A clay bowl made of stoneware clay and an HMD in silver are included in the set.
How to set up the Swiss Squad
- Fill the glass base with water until the downstem sits about 2 cm in the water.
- Screw the stem onto the base until it sits firmly and airtight.
- Attach the hoses to the ports.
- Pack the bowl, place it on the stem, put on the HMD and place the coals.
- Heat up calmly.
Care and cleaning
After the session, rinse the stem and downstem with warm water and brush them out if needed. Remove the bowl, molasses catcher and charcoal tray together from the joint. Rinse the glass base with warm, not hot, water.
