What the two fireclay clays do
The two fireclay clays are matched so that the head does not overheat easily and conducts the warmth evenly to where it is needed.
Packing and attachment on the Luv Lip
Spread the tobacco loosely around the centre hole. With a gap you pack up to just below the rim; in contact, the tobacco lightly touches the underside of the HMD. The centre hole stays free in both cases.
Kaloud or Na Grani work as attachments, and they also match the head visually, as do other common HMDs. You can also smoke the Luv Lip with aluminium foil.
Practical tip: Let the head cool down after the session before you clean it. Fine crazing lines are normal in ceramic over time, and bleeding cannot be prevented entirely either.
