Brennstoff is a brand of natural charcoal made from coconut shells. The cubes are produced in Indonesia, contain no fast-ignition additives and are fired up on an electric heater or over a gas burner.
Brennstoff Shisha Cubes
The coal is pressed into cubes with a 26 mm edge, known in the trade simply as "26s". To try it out there is the 8-piece sample pack with 120 g. Because the cubes are pure coconut shell charcoal, a lighter will not ignite them: you put them on an electric coal heater or hold them over a gas burner in a coal basket. After 10 minutes at most they are glowing right through.
