The CYGN Nibiru stainless steel is a modern hookah made of stainless steel with a glass base and ground-joint connections. It is around 57 cm tall. All connections are 18/8 ground joints, so the Nibiru manages without wobbly rubber seals.
Design and stem
The Nibiru consists of a base, a stem, a downstem, a charcoal plate and the glass. The base and the stem are screwed together. The glass has a recess in the bottom for an LED pad, which you can buy separately. The base is around 25 cm tall.
Diffuser and draw
The downstem has a diffuser. It splits large smoke bubbles into many smaller ones. This makes the bubbling quieter and the hookah vibrates less.
Bowl, charcoal plate and molasses catcher
The charcoal plate is made of stainless steel. With the two-part bowl adapter and the seal, you place a bowl on the stem. You choose the bowl yourself, as well as a molasses catcher if you want to use one. The 18/8 ground joint on the stem accepts molasses catchers with the same joint.
Hose connections
The base is designed for hose adapters with an 18/8 ground joint. Four adapters and a hose connector are included. You need a hose with a mouthpiece in addition.
How to set up the Nibiru
- Attach the downstem with diffuser and the stem to the base.
- Fill the glass base with water until the downstem is about 2 cm under water.
- Screw the glass onto the base until it sits firmly.
- Insert the hose adapters and attach the hose.
- Place a bowl on the bowl adapter, add charcoal and let it get going calmly.
Care and cleaning
Rinse the glass base with warm, not hot, water after the session. Rinse the stem, downstem and diffuser through with warm water as well, with a brush if needed. The smooth stainless steel parts are easy to wipe clean.
